Palri Pema Öd Ling is Pleased to Announce
Online Teachings on Mipham’s Beacon of Certainty
Given by Khenpo Tenzin Norgay.

Beacon of Certainty
The “Beacon of Certainty” (Nges shes rin po che’i sgron me), which is mainly a Madhyamaka text, was composed by the 19th century scholar Mipham Rinpoche at a very young age. While giving insights into the key points of view and meditation on the level of Madhyamaka and Vajrayana, it also elucidates the important points of teachings of Dzogchen.

In this course, we will be going through the root verses of the text, with reference to the outline and the commentary by Khenpo Kunpel. In addition, we will be referring to Khro Shul Jampal Dorje’s commentary and research works of John Whitney Pettit, which utilizes both critical comparison and establishes harmonious translation in the service of teaching and defending the Great Perfection system of the Nyingma school. This course is one of the main subjects taught in the 5th year of shedra at Namdroling Monastery.
