In this special Padmasambhava year, and special Padmasambava month of August, Lama Lobtsul Rinpoche will lead us in a Padmasambava retreat, specifically a Rigdzin Dupa and Long Life retreat. The text is the "Rigdzin Dupa" from the Longchen Ning Tik by Jigme Lingpa. All Tibetan Nyingma Buddhists in Tibet practice this particular Rigdzin Dupa practice. Lama Lobtsul Rinpoche will give the empowerment and reading transmission on the first evening of the retreat, and will lead all the subsequent practices and events in the retreat. Our practice will be dedicated for all mothers, all fathers, all sentient beings and all the six classes of existence, and Long Life for all Gurus.
Teaching Opportunity! On August 16, 17 & 18 (Tuesday through Thursday), Lama Lobtsul Rinpoche will teach choponing and musical instruments (damaru, horn, conch, drum, etc.) for the Rigdzin Dupa practice. On each of those days, the instruction sessions will be held from 11am to noon, and then repeated in the evening from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. In addition, this coming Guru Rinpoche Day, on Saturday, August 13, is a very good day for practice, so please come join that practice as we prepare for the upcoming Rigdzin Dupa retreat!

SUGGESTED DONATION*: $20 per session or $160 for entire retreat.
*Please Note: The suggested donations indicated are just that - suggestions. These donations are used to pay the operating expenses of our temple (supplies, electricity, water, etc.) and for maintaining this magnificent property. There is never a "charge" for the Dharma. However, it is customary to make monetary offerings to our teachers, to support their Dharma activities (from which we all benefit so enormously), and to help bring the benefit of those activities to other beings.
No one will ever be turned away for an inability to make a monetary donation. There are always many opportunities to donate your time and energy, such as helping set up for practices or events, cleaning the shrine room after events, assisting the chopons, helping clean the grounds and facilities, bringing offerings of candles, incense, flowers, etc., to be used in the temple.
