Losar (Tibetan New Year) February 7th, 2008 A day of celebration and activities.
You are invited to the first annual Losar Celebration to be held at Palri Pema Od Ling, Thursday, February 7, 2008. Please come ring in the Tibetan New Year, 2135, Male Earth Rat, with family and friends! The day's activities include (but not limited to):
2:00 - 4:00pm Dharma Burn (It is considered inauspicious and irreverent to throw away printed materials with dharma images or words of dharma, traditionally those items are burned. Please bring the materials you've saved for this purpose)
6:00pm Temple Ground Breaking
7:00pm Shower of Blessings Tsok
Come for the entire day, or stop by when you can. Sangha members will be present throughout the day.
